Rock Estate sent 14 triathletes to the Waveney Triathlon in Bungay. The race was a 400m swim, followed by a 20km bike ride, finishing with a a 3.2km run. The 160 strong start list, comprised some of the best triathletes in East Anglia.

The Rock Estate Team put in numerous strong performances, including superb times from the 7 triathletes (Chris, Lee C, Gaff, Mike, Pete, Maria and Jennie) competing in their first triathlon.
The bike leg was pretty challenging with the first few kilometers being into a strong westerly wind. The run was also tough with a couple of steep climbs.

Liam lead the team home in third place overall in a time of 50m 19s for his first Waveney podium. Simon won the battle for 2nd Rock Estater in 53m 30s beating Mark and Richard who were seconds apart in 55m 21s and 55m 30s respectively. They were followed by Tim in 56m 59s. Next up was Chris, who put in a good performance to finish under the hour in 58m 43s. Aaron was only seconds behind in 58m 49s. Next up was Lee C, who won the male 20-25 age group category in 59m 46s. He was followed by Lee B and Gaff who were also only seconds apart in 60m 46s and 61m 02s respectively. Mike was next in 62m 36s, closely followed by Pete in 63m 03s. The Rock Estate 'Rockesses', Maria and Jennie both put in strong times. Maria winning the female 20-25 age category in 66m 06s, and Jennie finishing well in 72m 41s.

The boys and girls were enthusiastically supported by a large and vociferous Rock Estate support.
